In a concerning incident, a man in Kinmen, Taiwan, has been arrested and charged with threatening behavior after a dispute at a convenience store.

The incident occurred this morning in Jincheng Township. According to reports, the man, reportedly intoxicated, attempted to purchase bottled water using RMB (Chinese Yuan). When the store clerk refused to accept the currency, the man became agitated, allegedly smashing the water bottles and then brandishing a sickle. He then fled the scene.

Police were quickly notified and responded to the scene. Although the suspect had already left, authorities immediately launched an investigation. Utilizing surveillance footage, officers identified the suspect and tracked him to a rental property in the Jinning Township. Upon arrival, the suspect, identified as Mr. Lin, was still at the residence and was arrested.

Mr. Lin is being charged with threatening behavior and has been transferred to the Kinmen District Prosecutors Office for further investigation. The authorities have emphasized the importance of responsible alcohol consumption and the consequences of disorderly conduct. Police are committed to maintaining public safety and will strictly enforce the law.
