Chasing Shadows: Wanted Man's High-Speed Motorcycle Escape Ends in Tumble in Taiwan

A routine traffic stop in Taoyuan turns into a high-speed chase as a wanted individual flees, culminating in a dramatic arrest in Zhongli.

Taoyuan, Taiwan - A drug-related fugitive, identified as Xu, 37, was apprehended in Taoyuan, Taiwan, after a police chase that started with a simple traffic violation. The incident highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to maintain order.

The incident unfolded on December 12th at approximately 1:50 AM on Zhongshan Road in the Taoyuan District. Patrol officers observed Xu failing to signal a turn. Upon requesting the rider to stop for inspection, Xu chose to flee at high speed towards Zhongli.

Police immediately initiated a pursuit, coordinating a roadblock. The chase ended abruptly in Zhongli’s Xingren Road section 2 when Xu lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. Officers swiftly apprehended the suspect.

Following the arrest, it was confirmed that Xu was wanted on drug-related charges. The police then took the suspect into custody in accordance with the law. The Taoyuan Police Department's Xiaoguixi Police Station was involved in the arrest.
