Taiwan: Car Crash in Kinmen Circle Leaves Five Injured

A car accident in Kinmen, Taiwan, on the evening of November 11th, resulted in five injuries after two vehicles collided at the Qionglin roundabout. The incident involved a vehicle driven by a female driver, Ms. Liu, born in 1983, carrying two passengers, and a vehicle driven by Mr. Du, born in 1968, also with two passengers.

The accident occurred as Ms. Liu's vehicle was traveling from Huandao North Road Section 2 into the Qionglin roundabout, heading towards Huandao North Road Section 3. Simultaneously, Mr. Du's vehicle entered the roundabout from Qiongan Road, intending to proceed towards Qiongyi Road.

Police arrived at the scene and conducted preliminary breathalyzer tests, revealing no alcohol consumption by either driver. However, the collision caused injuries to all involved, with Mr. Du and several passengers sustaining abrasions to their chests, necks, and shoulders. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

The local police department reminds drivers to always yield to vehicles already within the roundabout. When approaching a roundabout, drivers should proceed in a counter-clockwise direction and give way to vehicles already in the circle. Failure to comply can result in fines.
