Parking Lot Violence Erupts at Taipei 101: Driver Stabbed in Dispute

A shocking incident of violence unfolded at the Taipei 101 underground parking garage in Xinyi District, Taipei City on the 21st. According to preliminary investigations by the police, a 26-year-old female driver, Ms. Ye, was driving into the parking lot when she encountered a 24-year-old male, Mr. Tsai, who was stationary in the lane. Ms. Ye signaled to Mr. Tsai to move, which sparked a confrontation.

Tragically, Mr. Tsai lost control of his emotions and retrieved a Swiss Army knife, proceeding to stab Ms. Ye five times in the left side of her back. Upon receiving the report, the police promptly arrived at the scene and arrested Mr. Tsai. The case is being investigated by the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office on charges of assault.

The police investigation revealed that Mr. Tsai and his mother, Ms. Huang, had entered the Taipei 101 parking garage together. However, for reasons currently unknown, they were stationary in the lane. When Ms. Ye indicated for Mr. Tsai to yield, a dispute erupted, escalating into the violent act. Mr. Tsai's actions resulted in immediate bloodshed, staining Ms. Ye's white clothing.

Following their arrival, law enforcement apprehended the out-of-control Mr. Tsai and provided medical assistance to Ms. Ye. Initial assessments indicate that Ms. Ye's life is not in danger. Ms. Ye has filed an assault complaint against Mr. Tsai, and a thorough investigation into the incident is ongoing.
