In Changhua County, Taiwan, a couple has been apprehended for allegedly stealing pineapples. The incident, which occurred on the 19th of this month, involved a man and a woman riding a motorcycle and repeatedly stopping at a pineapple orchard.

The couple was caught on surveillance cameras allegedly stealing six pineapples, valued at approximately NT$1,000. The owner of the orchard reported the theft to the authorities, who, after reviewing the footage, identified the vehicle and summoned the couple, identified as Mr. and Mrs. Huang, based on the license plate information.

The area in Fenyuan Township, Changhua, where the incident took place, is known for its pineapple production, particularly the popular Golden Diamond variety. The stolen pineapples, currently in season, were estimated to weigh about 4 kilograms each, with a market value of approximately NT$40 per kilogram, according to the farmer. The couple will be prosecuted under the charge of theft.
