A single-vehicle accident occurred in the early hours of today in the North District of Taichung, Taiwan. A man identified as Mr. Li, while driving along Jinhua North Road near the intersection with Chongde Road, reportedly collided with a pedestrian refuge island, causing his vehicle to overturn. The car ended up on its roof.

Fortunately, Mr. Li was unharmed in the incident and was not under the influence of alcohol. Initial investigations suggest that driver inattention may have been a factor.

Surveillance footage captured the incident. Mr. Li (age 26) was driving straight along Jinhua North Road when his vehicle veered towards the central median. The car collided head-on with the pedestrian refuge island, sustaining significant damage and flipping over.

Emergency responders who arrived at the scene confirmed that Mr. Li showed no signs of alcohol consumption. He stated that he was momentarily distracted, leading to the accident. A thorough investigation is underway, with the cause of the accident still under review by the relevant authorities and judicial assessment bodies.
