Tragedy in Tainan: Son Kills Father Following Argument Over Employment

In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through the community of Tainan, Taiwan, a 49-year-old man, identified as Zhao, has been arrested for allegedly killing his 75-year-old father.

According to reports, the incident occurred on the afternoon of November 23rd. The father had repeatedly urged his son to seek employment, leading to frequent arguments between the two. The situation escalated when Zhao allegedly used a fruit knife to stab his father twice during a heated altercation.

The mother, also 75 years old, witnessed the tragedy and was reportedly distraught. Zhao then contacted the Tainan First Precinct and confessed to the crime, stating, "I killed my father." Authorities have taken Zhao into custody and are investigating the case.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Zhao was the eldest son and had been unemployed, living at home. His mother requires care, and the father's requests for Zhao to find a job stemmed from a desire for his son to contribute financially to the household. Previous arguments and even instances of physical aggression between the father and son have also been noted.

The authorities found the crime scene soaked in blood. The father was already dead when the police arrived. The police have taken Zhao in for questioning and will investigate the motivation for the murder and other specifics related to the event.
