A dramatic incident unfolded in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on the morning of the 23rd. A 78-year-old man, identified as Mr. Zhang, was driving his new S-Class Mercedes-Benz, valued at over NT$3 million, when he was involved in a collision.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Zhendong 1st Street and Zhendong Street in the Qianzhen District. Mr. Zhang reportedly made an incorrect turn and collided with a taxi driven by Mr. Zhuang, 57 years old. The Mercedes-Benz then veered off course, crashing into a residential building where a health lecture for seniors was underway.

Ms. Bai, 73 years old, who was inside the building, sustained minor injuries and was sent to the hospital but was not seriously hurt. The accident left the scene in disarray.

Police arrived at the scene and confirmed that neither Mr. Zhang nor Mr. Zhuang were under the influence of alcohol. Initial investigations suggest Mr. Zhang may have turned too late, entering the taxi's lane and causing the initial collision. The police will further analyze the accident to determine the exact cause.

The Qianzhen Police Department is urging all drivers to pay close attention to their surroundings and driving paths to ensure the safety of themselves and others, thus avoiding similar traffic incidents.
