A vehicle fire occurred on National Highway 1 (Freeway 1) near the 194-kilometer mark in Changhua, Taiwan, on the afternoon of November 23rd. According to reports, a black passenger vehicle suddenly caught fire for unknown reasons.

The driver, upon noticing the fire, immediately pulled over to the shoulder of the road and contacted emergency services. Firefighters arrived promptly and extinguished the blaze within approximately 20 minutes.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. However, the incident caused significant traffic congestion. Traffic was backed up for about five kilometers as a result of the lane closures.

The National Highway Police Third Brigade reported that the fire began around 12:30 PM. The outer lane of the affected section was temporarily closed. Authorities from the Freeway Bureau were dispatched to manage the traffic flow. Motorists traveling northbound were advised to consider alternative routes or monitor real-time traffic conditions to avoid delays.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
