A pedestrian in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, identified as Mr. Kang (68 years old), tragically lost his life in a traffic accident on April 18th at approximately 3:00 PM local time. The incident occurred in the Fengshan District, at the intersection of Wujia 3rd Road and Lane 103 of Wujia 3rd Road.

According to initial reports, Mr. Kang was crossing the road when he was struck by a white SUV driven by Mr. Li (57 years old). The impact caused Mr. Kang to hit the windshield before being thrown from the vehicle. The injuries were concentrated on his head. Despite immediate medical attention, Mr. Kang was declared dead before arriving at the hospital.

Mr. Li underwent a breathalyzer test, which showed a result of zero. Preliminary investigations suggest that the cause of the accident was Mr. Li's failure to pay attention to the road ahead. Further details regarding the cause are still under investigation by the traffic police.

It is understood that Mr. Kang resided near the scene of the accident. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances that led to him crossing the road. The Fengshan Police Precinct urges drivers to always be attentive to the road to ensure road safety.
