In Taipei, Taiwan, the founder of Lihpao Outlet, 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui), was involved in a traffic accident in late January 2022 at the intersection of Heping East Road and Muzha Road.

According to reports, the accident occurred when a female driver made a right turn on a green light and struck 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui). The impact resulted in abrasions to 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui)'s right knee, ankle, and hip. While the driver initially agreed to cover all medical expenses and provide compensation, 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) is now seeking NT$6 million in damages, stating the money is intended for donation.

On the morning of the 12th, the police released footage from a body camera worn by an officer on duty. The footage shows the vehicle failing to yield to pedestrians at the intersection, pinpointing this as the primary cause of the accident. Claims by the driver in the media suggested 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) was not using the crosswalk, but the bodycam footage only shows 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) being hit and falling. It does not definitively prove whether she was using the crosswalk.
