In Taichung, Taiwan, a 79-year-old man, living alone, died on the afternoon of October 24th, 2024, after falling from a building in the Fengyuan District. Responding to the incident, emergency services were called to a community on Zhongzheng Road, specifically addressing reports of a person who had fallen.

Upon arrival at approximately 4:40 PM, the Taichung City Fire Department discovered the man on the corrugated iron roof of a building on the first floor. Despite immediate efforts to rescue him, which included the dispatch of eight personnel and three vehicles from the Fengyuan and Fengnan fire stations, the man was found to be in a state of OHCA (Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest).

Emergency responders managed to reach the injured individual at 4:59 PM. He was transported to Fengyuan Hospital by the Fengyuan 92 ambulance for urgent medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical personnel, the man was pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigations by the Fengyuan Police Department suggest that foul play is not suspected. Further investigation is now underway to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the fall.
