Million-Dollar Mystery in Tainan: Man Leaves Huge Sums of Cash Unclaimed (Again!)

In a baffling turn of events, a man in Tainan, Taiwan, has once again made headlines by leaving a substantial amount of cash unattended. Following an incident in late March where a man, identified as Mr. Li, left NT$6 million in cash on the side of a road, a similar episode has now occurred. This time, on April 20th, Mr. Li left a plastic bag containing NT$4.16 million at a supermarket in the city's North District.

The first incident saw Mr. Li claiming he was simply "airing out" the money after it had been stored for too long. This time, Mr. Li reportedly had a disagreement with a 店員 (diàn yuán, store employee) before leaving the supermarket. The 警察 (jǐngchá, police) were notified and secured the money, which has been recorded as found property and is being held for safekeeping.
