A traffic accident occurred on Taiwan's Provincial Highway 9 in Fenglin Township, Hualien County, on the 23rd of [Month, Year]. The incident involved a 29-year-old off-duty police officer, identified as Mr. Lin, who was riding a motorcycle, and an ambulance.

According to the police report, the accident took place at an intersection. Mr. Lin was traveling eastbound on Pingdeng Road under a green light. Simultaneously, a 51-year-old individual, Mr. Zhou, was driving the ambulance northbound on Provincial Highway 9 under a red light. Mr. Zhou claims he had activated the siren.

The two vehicles collided at the intersection. Mr. Lin sustained a fractured left leg. He was conscious and in stable condition, with no life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Fenglin Branch for treatment. Both drivers held valid licenses and were not under the influence of alcohol. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation by the police.
