The Institute for Quality of Life, based in London, UK, has unveiled its 2025 "Happy City Index," and the results are in! Copenhagen, Denmark, takes the crown, but the real story lies in Taiwan. Taipei has dramatically improved, leaping from 46th place last year to an impressive 8th place!

The Institute's researchers analyzed a range of indicators "directly related to residents' quality of life and 幸福感 (happiness)" to compile the "Happy City Index." This year's report features 200 cities globally, with a remarkable nine Taiwanese cities earning a spot among the world's happiest.
