Breaking: Fire Erupts at Chemical Plant in Chiayi, Taiwan
Emergency services respond to blaze in Xibei Village, with investigations underway.
A fire broke out at a chemical plant in Xibei Village, Xingang Township, Chiayi County, Taiwan, on the afternoon of the 14th. The Chiayi County Fire Department received the report at 17:43 and dispatched multiple fire teams to the scene, including Liujiao, Jiatai, Xingang, Puzi, Xikou, Special Search and Rescue Teams, Xianghe, the Second Brigade, and Shuangfu.
Firefighters are currently deploying water lines to combat the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
