Former Harvard University professor Charles Lieber, who was sentenced to six months of house arrest in the **United States** for concealing his participation in China's "Thousand Talents Plan," has been appointed as a Chair Professor at Tsinghua University in Beijing.

An announcement from the official website of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School on May 1st indicated that a professorship appointment ceremony was held on April 28th. Charles Lieber has been appointed as a Chair Professor at the Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School and will be a full-time faculty member.
