In a recent incident near the Second Market in Taichung, a NISSAN sedan, driven by a 35-year-old individual, was struck by a Mercedes-Benz driven by a 25-year-old man.

The incident occurred this morning at approximately 9:00 AM on Zhongshan Road in the Central District. The NISSAN driver was waiting to turn left when the Mercedes-Benz, driven by Chen, collided with the rear of the NISSAN. The impact caused significant damage to the NISSAN's rear bumper and vehicle body.

Police were immediately notified. Upon arrival, officers found that Chen had a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit. Following standard procedures, Chen was arrested and faces charges of public endangerment due to drunk driving. The incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding road safety in Taiwan.
