Taiwanese Outlet Founder's Car Accident Claim Raises Eyebrows: Alleged Injury vs. Lavish Lifestyle

An investigation into a car accident involving 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui), founder of the renowned Lih Pao Outlet in Taiwan, reveals discrepancies between claimed injuries and an active social life.

Established in 2005, Lih Pao Outlet, founded by 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui), was the first retail outlet center in Taiwan. The center once thrived with four branches in Taipei and Taichung, generating an annual revenue of NT$2 billion. While 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) is known as a successful businesswoman, she has also organized blood drives and other charitable activities, which garnered her a lot of recognition.

However, reports reveal that after a minor car accident, 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) demanded NT$6 million from an office worker, which is considered excessive and arrogant.

The reason for 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui)'s claim for NT$6 million is that she was unable to walk after the accident and needed two nurses to care for her, in addition to the fact that she could not work for six months, as well as mental compensation, which left B-Miss speechless.

Mr. A, a friend of B-Miss, sympathized with her situation and was curious about 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui)'s background. He searched online and unexpectedly found on Facebook that shortly after the accident in January 2022, 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) hosted the opening ceremony of Lih Pao, and later attended various banquets, parties, and wedding banquets in gorgeous outfits. She also attended various business events, and in May of the same year, during Mother's Day, she was invited to walk on stage. In the following year, she even wore high heels to dance Latin, participated in road running, and recently played golf, showing no signs of not being able to walk, limping, or needing care.

However, 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui)'s legal team still insists that the accident caused serious injuries to 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui), but has been unable to provide relevant medical proof. For three years, B-Miss has been worried that the huge compensation will overwhelm her family, and she is in great pain and torment. Now she only hopes that the court will make a reasonable judgment, and she will do her best to compensate 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) so that the civil lawsuit can end as soon as possible and she can return to normal life.

The complainant, Mr. A, told the media that more than three years ago, his friend, B-Miss, accidentally hit 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) who was crossing the road improperly, and the ordeal began. In late January 2022, B-Miss was driving through the intersection of Heping East Road and Muzha Road in Taipei City when she hit 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui), who was not using the crosswalk, while turning left on a green light. After being hit, 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) fell to the ground. B-Miss immediately got out of the car to apologize and check on 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui)'s injuries, and called an ambulance to take 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) to Wanfang Hospital for examination and treatment.

The doctor diagnosed 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) with abrasions on her right knee, ankle, and hip, but the injuries were not serious. After completing the traffic accident record, B-Miss also called to check on 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui)'s injuries. In addition to constantly apologizing, she also promised to pay the full medical expenses, but 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) asked B-Miss if she knew who she was. She also said that she was wealthy and did not need B-Miss to pay for the medical expenses.

Despite this, B-Miss still called and texted 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) every day to comfort her and ask how to compensate. However, 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) did not respond for several months, and later replied that she was of "high status" and asked B-Miss to visit her at a designated location. B-Miss then went to visit 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) with gifts and red envelopes, but 翁素蕙 (Weng Su-hui) refused to accept them.
