A Taiwanese Heart: Husband's Plea for Mainland Chinese Wife Facing Deportation

In a moving display of solidarity, the husband of Mainland Chinese influencer 亞亞 (Ya-Ya), whose real name is 劉振亞 (Liu Zhen-Ya), has spoken out in defense of his wife. Facing potential deportation due to accusations related to comments on unification, 劉振亞's husband, speaking entirely in 台語 (Taiwanese), delivered a heartfelt plea for his family's right to remain in Taiwan.

“I am a Taiwanese child," he stated passionately. "Are you still going to make me leave? I have the right to live here!” His statement underscored the deep connection he feels to Taiwan and his family's established life there.

劉振亞's husband explained that he has been by her side since the onset of the controversy and allegations of online abuse. He stated that he was present during immigration interviews, refuting any claims of him being absent or silent. He expressed his frustration at the ongoing accusations and appealed for a fair hearing for his wife.
