A somber discovery was made on the afternoon of the 20th in Bali District, New Taipei City, at the riverside of Longmi Road, Section 1. A body was found floating in the water. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene. Initial investigations suggest no foul play, but the exact cause of death remains under investigation.

Police received a report around 4 PM concerning a person found deceased in the water. Police officers from the Longyuan Police Station were dispatched to the location, and forensic experts were also called in to assist. The body was recovered from the river.

The deceased has been identified as a 63-year-old woman, Ms. Chen. Witnesses reported seeing her sitting by the riverbank around 2 PM. However, when they next saw her, she was floating in the water. While initial investigations have ruled out external factors, authorities are working with the family to determine the full circumstances surrounding her death, whether accidental or otherwise.
