Tensions have escalated significantly between India and Pakistan following a series of air strikes. Early on the 6th, the Indian military launched attacks on nine targets within Pakistan and the Kashmir region.

The strikes resulted in eight fatalities, 25 injuries, and two individuals reported missing. According to Bloomberg, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif stated that Pakistan had shot down five Indian aircraft and captured some Indian soldiers.

In response to the attacks, Pakistan has announced the closure of its airspace for 48 hours. Furthermore, according to a post on X by the Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet, airports in northern India have also been temporarily closed until further notice.
