Fake Taiwan License Plate Leads to Unexpected Arrest in Kaohsiung

Early yesterday morning, a woman named Chen was pulled over in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, for parking her car in a motorcycle waiting area. The police quickly noticed something was amiss with the vehicle's license plate.

Upon closer inspection, the authorities determined that the license plate was fake. The subsequent investigation of Chen's identity revealed an even bigger surprise: She was a wanted fugitive.

The woman, driving an Altis car, initially appeared nervous when officers from the Wenzhi Police Station approached her. While claiming to have no criminal record, the police discovered that Chen was wanted on five separate charges, including fraud, drug-related offenses, and violations of the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
