Taipei, April 1 – The People's Liberation Army (PLA) Eastern Theater Command has launched joint military exercises in the waters surrounding Taiwan, escalating the already tense situation in the region. According to reports from Chinese state-run media, including CCTV, the exercises involve the army, navy, air force, and rocket forces, simulating operations to "close in" on Taiwan from "multiple directions."
