On the morning of December 25th, at approximately 3:18 AM, a significant fire broke out in a two-story metal shed located on Lane 531, Section 3, Heping East Road, in Taipei's Xinyi District, Taiwan.

Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene following the report. A large-scale response included 23 fire trucks, 4 ambulances, a drone, and a contingent of 62 firefighters and emergency personnel. Upon arrival, the first and second floors of the structure were fully engulfed in flames, causing extensive damage.


Tragically, a family of three, the residents of the property, were forced to escape the inferno by jumping from the second floor. The fire's origin and cause are currently under investigation by the Taipei City Fire Department's fire investigation unit.

According to the Taipei City Fire Department, the fire occurred at the location. Firefighters found the two-story metal shed completely ablaze, with the fire covering an area exceeding 100 square meters. Two individuals sustained injuries as a result of the fire. A 16-year-old male suffered a wrist injury from the jump to escape, while an 11-year-old female sustained burns to her right lower leg. Both were transported to Taipei Medical University Hospital for treatment. The fire was brought under control at 4:03 AM. Fortunately, the two injured individuals who jumped from the second floor are not in life-threatening condition.
