A serious traffic accident occurred this afternoon, around 6:00 PM (local time), in the Daliao District of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. At the intersection of Heti 2nd Road and Shangfa 8th Street, a van reportedly lost control after possibly hitting an oil slick on the road and collided with a large truck.

The driver of the van was initially trapped inside the vehicle, which suffered significant damage to its front end. Emergency services, including police and fire rescue personnel, responded to the scene. They used specialized equipment to extract the driver, who sustained multiple injuries. The driver was subsequently transported to a hospital for immediate medical attention.
