In a shocking development, the Taipei District Court heard the case of the tragic death of "Kai-Kai," a 1-year-and-10-month-old boy. The case involves the alleged abuse by his caretaker, Liu Tsai-Hsuan. During today's proceedings, after the court questioned the caretaker, Liu Tsai-Hsuan admitted guilt to charges of aggravated child abuse resulting in death, child abuse causing bodily harm leading to death, and aggravated child abuse causing severe bodily harm. She expressed her remorse, saying, "I'm sorry," while the lawyer stated they would need to adjust their defense strategy.

Initially, she only admitted to physically disciplining and restraining "Kai-Kai," including admitting to hitting his teeth with a spoon and giving him cold showers. However, following the testimony of several expert witnesses, she confessed to the serious charges, dramatically changing the trajectory of the case.
