Myanmar's Military Reportedly Continues Airstrikes Despite Earthquake and "Emergency Status"
Amidst devastation, the military is accused of ongoing attacks in declared "emergency" zones.

Following a powerful 8.2 magnitude earthquake that struck central Myanmar on October 28th, the military junta declared a state of emergency across much of the country, including the second-largest city, Mandalay, and the capital, Naypyidaw. However, reports are surfacing that the Myanmar military is continuing airstrikes within the areas placed under "emergency status."
According to a BBC report on October 29th, the People's Defence Forces (PDF), a network of pro-democracy civilian militias, has reported that airstrikes occurred in the town of Chang-U in Sagaing Province, near the epicenter of the earthquake.
