Tragedy in Kaohsiung: Husband Kills Wife After Alleged Family Disputes

A shocking incident has unfolded in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where a man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife. The incident occurred early this morning when Cheng, a 45-year-old man, contacted emergency services to report that he had killed his wife.

Upon arriving at the couple's residence in the Nanzih District, police found the wife, Chen, 33, with multiple stab wounds, lying in a pool of blood. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Chen succumbed to her injuries. Cheng was immediately apprehended on suspicion of murder.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the couple, married for two years and with a daughter, were engaged in a heated argument prior to the fatal attack. It is believed that Cheng, a leak repair worker, harbored resentment towards his wife's family, allegedly due to their frequent criticism. This simmering discontent is suspected to have culminated in the tragic event, triggered by a quarrel that escalated into violence, with Cheng using a kitchen fruit knife to attack his wife.
