A recent incident in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, has sparked controversy involving an Uber driver and a young girl who accidentally spilled water in a Tesla vehicle. The incident began when the child, en route to a tutoring center, unintentionally leaked water from her water bottle onto the car's floor mat.

Initially, the Uber driver demanded NT$500 for the cleaning. However, the situation escalated dramatically. The driver then claimed the damage required a check at a repair shop and demanded NT$41,000 for the repairs, which included claims of needing to disassemble and inspect the undercarriage, plus potential business loss due to the car being unavailable for 4-5 days. The driver, shockingly, also attempted to collect NT$20,000 from the child's tutoring center teacher.

The child's parent shared the incident on the social media platform Threads, questioning the driver's demands. The driver responded to the post with a truly shocking comment, suggesting that the family "lick the water dry" to settle the matter.
