Tragedy in Taoyuan: Driver's Erratic Act Claims Life Near Bade District Office

In Taoyuan, Taiwan, a 67-year-old man, identified as Chen, was driving a vehicle carrying 71-year-old Zhao. The vehicle was traveling on Zhongshan Road in the Bade District when, unexpectedly, it veered off course and collided with the Bade District Office and a couple standing nearby. The incident resulted in the death of the husband, while the wife sustained severe injuries.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. Chen's vehicle, en route from Zhongshan Road in Bade District towards Daxi, reportedly exhibited erratic driving behavior near the intersection of Xingfeng Road and Zhongshan Road. Witnesses suggest Chen's physical condition, possibly with uncontrolled hand tremors, may have contributed to the accident. The vehicle suddenly swerved left, colliding violently with the Bade District Office and, tragically, with a 48-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man who were standing on the roadside.
