Tragedy at Yilan Green Expo: Elderly Man Dies After Train Collision

A family outing at the Yilan Green Expo in Taiwan took a tragic turn when an elderly man, identified as Mr. You, was killed after being struck by an electric tour train. His wife was also injured in the incident.

Mr. You, along with his wife, son, and daughter, were enjoying a holiday outing when the accident occurred. Eyewitness accounts suggest the small train, which appears to have suffered brake failure, was traveling at a high speed. The son recounted the horrifying scene, stating he was unable to pull his parents out of the train's path in time.

The incident happened at approximately 1:30 PM. Mr. You, aged 78, was struck by the train and was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical professionals, Mr. You was pronounced dead at 2:26 PM. His wife sustained a broken arm. The family, a group of 10 people, had traveled from New Taipei City earlier in the day to enjoy the expo.
