The Central Weather Administration (CWA) has recorded the lowest temperature of the autumn season so far in Taiwan, with Miaoli County's Gongguan Township registering a chilly 11.7 degrees Celsius early this morning. A CWA forecaster indicated that this marks the lowest temperature recorded since the start of autumn.

Looking ahead, the weather is expected to change, with increased moisture anticipated from tonight through Thursday. This period is also under a strong wind advisory, with northeasterly winds predicted to be strong. Several areas across Taiwan, including New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Pingtung County, Yilan County, Hualien County, Taitung County (including Orchid Island and Green Island), Penghu County, Kinmen County, and Lienchiang County, may experience average wind speeds of level 6 or higher, or gusts of level 8 or higher.
