Tigerair Taiwan Expands Japanese Network with Three New Routes

Tigerair Taiwan has announced the upcoming launch of three new routes to Japan, significantly expanding its travel offerings. The Taiwanese carrier will introduce services connecting Kaohsiung to Kumamoto and Tainan to Kumamoto, both commencing on December 23rd. Following closely, a new route from Tainan to Okinawa will begin operations on December 25th.

Initially, each of these new routes will operate with two round-trip flights per week, providing convenient travel options for passengers.

The Kaohsiung-Kumamoto route will feature flight IT-766 departing from Kaohsiung International Airport every Tuesday and Friday at 8:45 a.m. The return flight, IT-767, will depart Kumamoto Airport at 7:50 p.m. on the same days.

For the Tainan-Kumamoto service, flight IT-794 will depart Tainan Airport on Tuesdays and Fridays at 3:55 p.m. The corresponding return flight, IT-795, will depart Kumamoto Airport at 12:40 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The Tainan-Okinawa route will be served by flight IT-796, departing Tainan Airport on Thursdays and Sundays at 3:20 p.m. Flight IT-797 will operate the return journey from Okinawa's Naha Airport at 1:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays.

These new routes are a strategic move by Tigerair Taiwan to broaden its network and offer travelers a wider selection of destinations. Kumamoto will now be the airline's 23rd destination in Japan. Notably, the Tainan-Kumamoto service will represent Tigerair Taiwan's inaugural international route originating from Tainan Airport.
