Brunei Welcomes Taiwanese Travelers with Visa-Free Entry

Taipei, June 23 - In a significant development for Taiwanese travelers, the government of Brunei has announced visa-free entry for Taiwan passport holders. The policy, effective from Monday, allows Taiwanese citizens to stay in Brunei for a maximum of 14 days without a visa.

Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) shared the news on social media, hailing it as a milestone. "This is a milestone in our integrated diplomacy. We sincerely thank the Brunei government for its friendship and pragmatic spirit, and we look forward to even stronger ties ahead," Lin stated in his X post.

This announcement follows closely on the heels of the Philippines' recent decision to grant visa-free entry to Taiwan passport holders, which is set to take effect on July 1.
