Tigerair Taiwan Expands Summer Flight Network to Jeju and Ishigaki

TAIPEI, Taiwan – Tigerair Taiwan is set to capitalize on the summer travel season by introducing and restarting flights to popular island destinations in South Korea and Japan.

The budget airline announced new flight routes to Jeju Island and a resumption of services to Ishigaki Island. This expansion aims to cater to the increasing demand for island getaways from Taiwan.

With these developments, Tigerair Taiwan will expand its direct routes to Japan, reaching a total of 23. Furthermore, it will be the sole Taiwanese airline providing direct flights to Jeju from northern, central, and southern Taiwan.

The Kaohsiung–Jeju route is scheduled to commence on June 30, with four weekly flights in its initial phase. The Taichung–Jeju route will resume on July 1, offering two flights per week.

The Taoyuan–Ishigaki service is slated to launch on July 17, with operations twice weekly.

To celebrate these new routes, Tigerair Taiwan is offering promotional fares. One-way base fares from Kaohsiung and Taichung to Jeju start at NT$500 (US$16, excluding taxes). Special one-way fares from Taoyuan to Ishigaki start at NT$1,599 (excluding taxes), available from June 11–12.
