Taiwan's Manufacturing Giant Achieves Historic Highs in March and Q1, Driven by Strong Tech Sector Performance

Taipei, Taiwan – Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., a leading manufacturing company based in Taiwan, has announced remarkable sales figures for March and the first quarter, showcasing robust performance driven by the surging demand for technology products.

The company reported consolidated sales of NT$552.1 billion (US$16.63 billion) in March, setting a new monthly record. This impressive figure represents a significant 23.37% increase compared to the same period last year and a slight 0.13% rise from the preceding month, as stated in the company's recent announcement.

The surge in sales is attributed to heightened demand for artificial intelligence (AI) cloud and networking products, computing products, and various other components, highlighting the company's pivotal role in the evolving technological landscape.

Furthermore, Hon Hai's cumulative sales for the first quarter reached an all-time high of NT$1.64 trillion, a clear demonstration of the company's sustained growth. While this figure marks a substantial 24.20% increase year-over-year, it also reflects a 22.98% decrease quarter-over-quarter, a typical seasonal pattern in the industry.

Looking ahead, Hon Hai anticipates that its cloud and networking product segment will sustain its growth trajectory in the second quarter, despite the traditionally slower sales period as products transition. The company projects both quarterly and year-over-year growth for operations in the second quarter, while acknowledging the importance of carefully monitoring the impact of ongoing global political and economic developments.
