The New Taipei City Government has announced a reshuffle, involving four district chiefs. Linkou District Chief, Liao Wu-hui, has requested a transfer from Mayor Hou You-yi, citing the need to care for his aging parents and the demands of the district chief role.

Considering Liao's dedication to his family, Mayor Hou recognized the need for the change and recognized his abilities in other fields. Given Liao's expertise in road running and his demonstrated youth and vitality, Mayor Hou encouraged him to take on a new challenge in the Tourism and Travel Department, as a specialist.

Liao Wu-hui, aged 43, is a seasoned marathon runner, having completed 137 full 42-kilometer marathons. He is known as the "New Taipei Fastest Man" within the public service. During his 2 years and 3 months as Linkou District Chief, he also served as the Jinshan District Chief. He has previously worked in the New Taipei City Government's Department of Laws and Regulations, Transportation Department, and Labor Department.
