Foxconn Makes History: Yang Chiu-chi Takes the Helm as First Female CEO

A New Era Dawns for Taiwan's Tech Giant as Yang Chiu-chi Steps into the CEO Role at Foxconn.

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (Foxconn) (2317) announced yesterday, that the first rotating Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since the rotational CEO system was implemented in April of last year, Lin Chung-cheng, General Manager of the Group's E Business Group, has completed his term. Yang Chiu-chi, the Head of the Central Park Campus, will assume the role of the second rotating CEO, with the appointment taking effect today.

Yang Chiu-chi is the first female CEO in Foxconn's history and the first female CEO in Taiwan's electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry. With Foxconn's rotating CEO system entering its second term, and the first rotating CEO, Lin Chung-cheng, contributing to Foxconn's strong performance last year amidst the AI wave, analysts interpret this as a successful operation of the rotating CEO system, symbolizing significant progress in corporate governance and professional division of labor within the group.
