A powerful 8.2-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on the 28th, causing damage in neighboring countries, including Thailand where a high-rise building under construction collapsed. However, the notorious "KK Park" scam hub in Myanmar appears to have escaped the worst of the damage.

Reports indicate that the "piglets" (victims) trapped within the KK Park had initially hoped the earthquake would damage infrastructure and offer a chance for escape. Sadly, their dreams of freedom were dashed as it became clear that the scam compound remained intact, plunging them into further despair.

According to the Malaysian media outlet "China Press", the earthquake's epicenter was over 800 kilometers from the KK Park. Despite widespread building collapses and infrastructure damage in other areas, the KK Park's structure remained stable, showing no significant damage. 辜健鈫 (Gu Jian Qian), the Public Relations Director of the Malaysian International Humanitarian Organization (MHO), stated that they contacted those trapped within the compound via WhatsApp to assess the situation and hope for any chance for the victims to escape.
