American YouTuber, LeLe Farley, Barred from Entering Taiwan Despite Employment Gold Card

A prominent American YouTuber, LeLe Farley, with over 420,000 subscribers, has been denied entry to Taiwan, despite possessing a Taiwanese Employment Gold Card. The incident has sparked discussions regarding immigration regulations and the potential impact on individuals seeking to live and work in Taiwan.

LeLe Farley announced in a recent video that he had applied for and received a Gold Card, planning to relocate to Taiwan on March 11th. However, upon arrival at the airport, he was informed that he was prohibited from entering the country.

The Taiwan National Immigration Agency (Immigration Agency) issued a statement confirming the denial, explaining that LeLe Farley had engaged in illegal work activities in Taiwan in 2023. This violation led to a ruling by the Taipei City Labor Standards Act and subsequently, a period of restriction preventing his entry into Taiwan, according to the regulations governing the entry of foreigners.
