Taiwan Shines: Four Hotels Awarded Prestigious Michelin Key Honors

A Landmark Achievement for Taiwanese Hospitality on the Global Stage
Taiwan Shines: Four Hotels Awarded Prestigious Michelin Key Honors

The highly anticipated results of the inaugural "Global Michelin Key" selection have been officially announced, recognizing 2,457 exceptional hotels worldwide. In a significant milestone for Taiwan's hospitality sector, four hotels from the island have been included in this prestigious list, each earning a "One Michelin Key" distinction.

The distinguished hotels honored are Capella Taipei, Kimpton Da An Taipei, Mandarin Oriental, Taipei, and Hoshinoya Guguan. This recognition marks the first time Taiwanese hotels have been acknowledged in this global ranking.

Since its introduction last year across 15 destinations, the Michelin Key system has seen the Guide's inspectors conduct in-depth evaluations of over 7,000 previously recommended hotels globally. The aim is to identify the most outstanding accommodations. Hotels are awarded One, Two, or Three Keys based on their performance. A "One Michelin Key" signifies a uniquely wonderful stay, not to be missed. A "Two Michelin Keys" indicates an exceptional stay, worth a detour. Mirroring the highest standard for culinary excellence, a "Three Michelin Keys" represents an unforgettable stay, worthy of a special journey.
