Starlux Airlines Resumes Taipei-Manila Flights, Boosting Regional Connectivity

Starlux Airlines, a Taiwanese carrier, has announced the relaunch of its Taipei-Manila route, commencing on December 16th. The airline will operate one daily round-trip service connecting Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport with Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The outbound flight, JX785, is scheduled to depart from Taoyuan at 8:20 a.m., arriving in Manila at 11:05 a.m. The return flight, JX786, will depart from Manila at 11:50 a.m. and land back in Taoyuan at 2:05 p.m.

This route was previously suspended in March 2024 due to weaker-than-anticipated ticket sales in 2023, which the airline had attributed to the timing of its flight schedules. However, Starlux has decided to reinstate the service in response to the increasing business connections between Taipei and Manila.

Tickets for the relaunched route became available starting Thursday. Starlux CEO Glenn Chai (翟健華) expressed enthusiasm for the resumption, stating, "Relaunching the route not only meets business and tourism demand, but also strengthens our presence in Southeast Asia."

In addition to the Manila service, Starlux Airlines currently offers daily round-trip flights to other destinations in the Philippines, including Cebu and Clark International Airport, as indicated on the airline's official website.
