A group of four tourists visiting Taitung experienced an unexpected mishap on the afternoon of the 21st while enjoying the scenic countryside of Taitung's Chishang Township, specifically along the renowned Brown Boulevard. The visitors were riding electric-assisted bicycles to take in the picturesque rural landscape.

However, a sudden and powerful gust of crosswind caught the group, causing them and their bicycles to be swept into a nearby rice paddy. Fortunately, three of the tourists sustained only minor bruises and abrasions to their limbs. Emergency personnel provided on-site first aid, and the injured individuals were able to depart without requiring hospitalization.

The incident highlights the unpredictable nature of weather conditions, even in popular tourist destinations.
