Taiwan High-Speed Rail Introduces New Regulations for Enhanced Passenger Experience

Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR) has seen a significant increase in passenger numbers, now averaging over 200,000 daily trips. This surge in ridership has unfortunately led to some disruptions, prompting concerns about a decline in the onboard travel experience. In response, THSR Chairman Shi Zhe has initiated a series of measures to address these issues and improve service quality.

THSR is implementing four key new policies, with some already in effect. Passengers are advised to familiarize themselves with these regulations, as violations could result in being asked to leave the train.

Key New Policies:**

The "Quiet Car" policy, a significant change, will officially commence on September 22nd. The THSR revised its transportation contract on August 22nd to accommodate this new regulation.
