Strong convective cloud systems developing in the afternoon have led to a high probability of short-duration, intense rainfall. The Central Weather Administration has issued a heavy rain advisory, warning of localized heavy rain or torrential downpours in Taipei City and New Taipei City today. There is also a chance of localized heavy rain in the northern coastal areas of Keelung, as well as mountainous regions of Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Yilan.

Residents are advised to be aware of potential lightning strikes and strong gusts of wind. Low-lying areas should be cautious of potential flooding, and mountainous areas should watch out for landslides, falling rocks, and rising river levels.
