During the event, Tigerair Taiwan Chairman Huang Shih-hui (黃世惠) highlighted the appeal of Ishigaki Island, describing it as a paradise renowned for its exceptionally clear blue waters, untouched white sandy beaches, and vibrant marine life. He noted that the island is often referred to as "Japan's Maldives" and that the new flight offers travelers a convenient one-hour journey to experience its beauty.

Passengers on the inaugural flight were treated to special commemorative gifts, including a limited-edition Tigerair Taiwan postcard and an Okinawa-themed fabric bag, adding a festive touch to the new service.

Initially, the Taipei–Ishigaki Island route will operate twice a week. Flights depart from Taoyuan International Airport every Thursday and Sunday at noon. The return flights from Ishigaki Airport are scheduled for 2:50 p.m. on the same days.
