Typhoon Wipha's outer bands have brought torrential rain to Taiwan, resulting in a major landslide on Provincial Highway 9 near the Daxi section. The incident occurred at kilometer marker 405, where a substantial amount of mud and debris flowed onto the roadway, completely blocking both directions of traffic.

Emergency crews are currently on-site, with one excavator already engaged in clearing operations. Additional machinery is being dispatched by contractors to expedite the cleanup and restore passage on this vital transportation artery.
